First term Break

Well, it has been two heavy weeks of exams, marking and grading report cards. So instead of winding down it felt more like everything was winding up. And to make it more exciting; the children were still hyper and running strong even after the exams. They were all still into school mode. I on the other hand...well..I was really exhausted. With a lot of marking and grading there was barely time to sleep in or early.
In our last week of school before break we had our service day or what we call helping hands. Which is normally a day or two days of students participating in community service activities. We usually do this to help the students demonstrate their interest in community involvement but it is mainly for them to practice servant-hood as they learn to serve others in love and in the name of Jesus Christ. This helps them build characters and excel in their skills or talents as they consider using them to help others.

Service Days

After the service days we held a talent show which was an open invitation for all students to take part. Almost the whole school took part in this as they cheerfully showed off their gifts and talents. This was really fun and they were all amazing!!  :)  (Sometimes you can't just help it but to be a teacher-proud-mamma!) They were really awesome!
And finally to end off the term we held our Sports Price givings on the last day.

And not too long after that the school building was empty! Essentially what this meant was that it was time to get out of teacher-mode which can be really hard to break over the holidays even when it is time to switch off.
