Thanks Giving!

Depending on where you’re from, you might celebrate thanksgiving by getting together with your family over a massive gravy-drenched feast or you might celebrate with a chosen family of friends. Whatever the case may be, I think the idea behind it all is to show gratitude towards God for all that He has done for you.

"Whether or not your country celebrates a Thanksgiving holiday, as Christians we should have a heart of thanksgiving every day." W.C.W.K

This year, our school set a side a special day for us to celebrate the Goodness of the Lord in our lives. It was a time for us to reflect back and to count our blessings. Often we forget to say thank you because we take things for granted,we tend to forget that every minute and every second of our lives are a blessing.
As some of our staff members and students stood up to testify about the goodness and the faithfulness of our God in their own lives, I realized that Thanks Giving is not about the pleasure of a full table but it's about God, He's divine intervention and He's mercies toward us throughout each day and every year. We are blessed in so many ways but if we never stop to think about it we will definitely miss the purpose of every blessing which is meant to point us to God himself. After hearing all those testimonies especially from our students, I realized that I have not been truly grateful.

When last have you thanked God for the sunshine?
When last have you thanked God for Oxygen? (Like seriously?)
For a roof over your head, for water, for the clothes on your body or for the food on your table?
I am always blown away by the faith and the appreciation of children because they always see that which we are oblivious to and every time we forget God's blessings we end up complaining.
I found that gratitude not only brings joy to our hearts but tears to our eyes.

While we were busy celebrating the Faithfulness of God, it started to rain!! I have never been so thankful for rain like I was for every drop of rain that fell on our faces!

Flash back to some good times, how I wish moments like this could last forever.
                            It was an amazing day!
I don't want to miss out on the chance of having a good time.
